Key Features

Single sofa bed with classic modern styling
Width 103cm, height 87cm, depth 95cm. Seat height 47cm, arm height 68cm.
Bed 190 x 80cm, 195cm deep when open
Thick, soft foam in the seat and bed
Solid wood front legs in a wenge finish
Black metal back legs

At 103cm wide the chair bed is built for rooms that cannot spare the floor. Opened out it becomes a single bed, 190 by 80cm, and the whole thing then measures 195cm from the back to the front edge, so allow about a metre of clear floor in front of it. Thick, soft foam runs through the seat and the bed alike, so nothing changes underneath you once it is flat.

A single top stitch follows the arms and body, with the cushions left plain. The back and side cushions are fibre filled and can be turned over, while the seat cushion is fixed in place. Wenge-finished front legs stand at 12.5cm, with black metal at the back. The Swyft-Lok holds the frame together without the need for tools. The Model 08 Chair Bed is delivered in two boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy replacement cushion covers for the Model 08 Sofa Bed?

No - fabric covers are fixed upholstery and are not removable or washable. Full replacement cushions (cover and fill together) are available in some fabrics that are live on our site - contact our team on support@swyfthome.com to enquire.

Can I replace the arms on the Model 08 Sofa Bed with arms from another model?

No - each model's arms are specific to its own frame and fittings. Components from other models are not compatible.

Can I fit casters to the Model 08 Sofa Bed?

Swyft does not supply or recommend casters for the Model 08 - the leg design is not suited to castor attachment. Furniture sliders are a better option for moving it.

What is the linen fabric on the Model 08 Sofa Bed made of?

The linen-look fabric is 73% polyester and 27% cotton - not pure linen. It has a linen appearance but is more durable and easier to clean.

How do I convert the Model 08 Sofa Bed from sofa to bed?

Conversion is tool-free. Instructions are included in the box and a video guide is on the product page. The legs screw in during initial assembly only. Contact support if the mechanism feels stuck - it is unlikely to be a fault.

Is it safe to use the Model 08 Sofa Bed as a bed without the arms attached?

The arms are structurally separate from the sleeping surface, but we'd recommend contacting our support team to confirm before using it this way.

What fabric options are available for the Model 08 Chair Bed?

The Chair Bed is available in a subset of the standard Swyft fabric range. The linen option is a polyester-cotton blend (73% polyester, 27% cotton) - not pure linen. Check the product page for current options.

What delivery lead time should I expect for the Model 08 Chair Bed?

Lead times vary. The Chair Bed is sometimes on a longer lead time than the sofa versions - check current stock availability on the product page.
