Styling on the Model 08 Chair Bed stays simple: wide profile, slim features, with single top stitch detail across arms and body. Turned beech legs, wenge finished, at the front; black metal legs behind them. No tools are needed, thanks to the Swyft-Lok fastening system.

Under the cover, thick soft foam in the seat and bed and fibre fill in the back and side cushions. It opens to a bed 190cm long and 80cm wide. The cloth is Chenille Mink, a soft, easy chenille with a velvet-like face, and it presents as a quiet mushroom taupe. You will receive two boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy replacement cushion covers for the Model 08 Sofa Bed?

No - fabric covers are fixed upholstery and are not removable or washable. Full replacement cushions (cover and fill together) are available in some fabrics that are live on our site - contact our team on support@swyfthome.com to enquire.

Can I replace the arms on the Model 08 Sofa Bed with arms from another model?

No - each model's arms are specific to its own frame and fittings. Components from other models are not compatible.

Can I fit casters to the Model 08 Sofa Bed?

Swyft does not supply or recommend casters for the Model 08 - the leg design is not suited to castor attachment. Furniture sliders are a better option for moving it.

What is the linen fabric on the Model 08 Sofa Bed made of?

The linen-look fabric is 73% polyester and 27% cotton - not pure linen. It has a linen appearance but is more durable and easier to clean.

How do I convert the Model 08 Sofa Bed from sofa to bed?

Conversion is tool-free. Instructions are included in the box and a video guide is on the product page. The legs screw in during initial assembly only. Contact support if the mechanism feels stuck - it is unlikely to be a fault.

Is it safe to use the Model 08 Sofa Bed as a bed without the arms attached?

The arms are structurally separate from the sleeping surface, but we'd recommend contacting our support team to confirm before using it this way.

What fabric options are available for the Model 08 Chair Bed?

The Chair Bed is available in a subset of the standard Swyft fabric range. The linen option is a polyester-cotton blend (73% polyester, 27% cotton) - not pure linen. Check the product page for current options.

What delivery lead time should I expect for the Model 08 Chair Bed?

Lead times vary. The Chair Bed is sometimes on a longer lead time than the sofa versions - check current stock availability on the product page.

Tackle spills early. Water is usually sufficient, with household soap in reserve for stubborn marks.

Do not wash, do not bleach and do not tumble dry.

Iron at medium heat if needed.

Dry clean only, professional gentle process.

Do not steam clean. Chenille needs gentler methods and minimal moisture, so spot clean or use a specialist upholstery cleaner.

No stain treatment is applied to this fabric.

Keep it out of direct sunlight to protect the colour.
