Collection: Duvet Covers

The pattern you wanted, without the cover you have to wash separately. Swyft's duvet sets come with the design built in.

Why you might not need a duvet cover

A duvet cover does two jobs: it protects the duvet, and it decides how the bed looks. Swyft's duvet sets do both without a separate cover, because the design is part of the duvet. One item to buy, one item to wash, and nothing to wrestle onto a duvet at eleven at night. If you came here to refresh a bedroom, this is the shorter route to the same result.

White, striped and gingham, built in

The patterns people actually shop for, without the extra layer. Polar white seersucker gives a crisp, lightly textured finish. Blue herringbone stripes reverse to polar white, so one duvet gives you two looks. Earthy olive gingham reverses to solid olive green for a warm country check. Dusky rose in a soft melange weave is the quietest of the four.

Shop coverless duvets

Made to be washed, not protected

Duvet covers largely exist so there is something you can put in the machine. These remove the middleman: the whole duvet washes at home and machine dries in 90 to 120 minutes. No cover cycle, no dry cleaner, no waiting for something bulky to line dry before the bed can be made again.

Sizes, filling and weights

Single sets come with one coordinating pillowcase; double and king sets come with two. The filling is Smartfil®, made from 100% recycled PET bottles, hypoallergenic and slow to flatten. All four designs sit at 10.5 tog for year round use.

Duvet Cover FAQs

Do I need a duvet cover with a coverless duvet?

No. The cover is already part of the duvet, so there is nothing separate to buy and nothing to put on. You can add one if you want a different look, but it is not what the duvet is designed for.

Can you wash a duvet instead of just the cover?

If it is built for it, yes. Swyft's duvet sets are machine washable at home and machine dry in 90 to 120 minutes, so the whole duvet goes through the wash rather than only an outer layer.

What size duvet cover do I need?

Match the cover to the duvet rather than the bed: a single duvet takes a single cover, a double takes a double. With a coverless duvet the question goes away, because the only size you choose is the duvet's.

Are coverless duvets as warm as a duvet and cover together?

Warmth comes from the tog rating, not the cover. The coverless duvets are all 10.5 tog, an all-season weight. For a lighter summer option, the Breathe duvet comes in 4.5 tog.

How often should you wash bedding?

Sheets and pillowcases usually go in weekly; a duvet needs it far less often. The advantage of a washable duvet is that when it does need doing, it is a normal load rather than an errand.
